Sand / Shot Blasting

At RJM Spray Painting we can blast just about anything from

Agri Machinery, Commercial Vehicles, Gates and Railings,

to stone buildings etc. Sand Blasting or Shot Blasting

is the operation of forcibly propelling abrasive material

eg. glass, shot, sand against a surface under high pressure to remove

rust, carbon or paint from steel surfaces or contaminants from stone.

This process leaves the surface perfectly clean and ready for priming or sealing.

When working with steel after blasting speed is of the essence to get the steel primed.

This ensures that the steel is sealed and should not rust for many years.

It is best to use a 2 pack primer with a high zinc content to prevent rusting.

Then 2 coats of a good quality 2 pack top coat paint to finish off a quality job.
